The rose is the queen of flowers! Perfumers' favorite rose is timeless.
There are 2 species of roses used in perfumery. First is the "centifolia". Grown in France and Morocco. Centifolia gives by extraction to the volatile solvent, the concrete, then the absolute with warm, skin and spicy notes.
Then, there is the “damascena” rose, produced in Turkey and Bulgaria, which provides an essential oil by distillation. Unlike absolute, its aroma is fresher, citric and fruity.
