HISTORY COMPORTS PERFUMES

COMPORTA PERFUMES has created, designed and launched the first Portuguese brand of niche perfumes.

Pedro Simões Dias, founder of COMPORTA PERFUMES, is a lawyer specializing in Internet law and copyright. Pedro always had a passion for perfumes and loved to appreciate them and many years ago he started collecting perfumes and studying perfumery. She launched a very successful blog reviewing niche perfumes and also developed a concept around giving master classes to share her passion for scents and perfumes with others.

After many years of making his passion for perfumery grow until he almost mastered it, Pedro has started to think about Portuguese perfumery.

Portugal had in the 19th century and until the late 1930s many small perfume brands, but they all faded away. Since then, there was not a single niche perfumery line in Portugal, so Pedro decided to start by creating a set of perfumes, whose objective is to recreate experiences, olfactory moments and stories around Comporta, on the Alentejo Coast, in the north of Portugal. Portugal.

This is how COMPORTA PERFUMES was born in 2017.

COMPORTA is a unique place that inspired Pedro and 4 perfumers (Luca Maffei, Béatrice Aguilar, Daniel Josier and Stéphanie Bakouche), to make the dream of a perfume line inspired by Comporta come true.

COMPORTA PERFUMES includes 8 different intimate fragrances, inspired by and representing experiences and memories of Comporta, one of the most exclusive destinations and best kept secrets in Europe.

His latest and ninth fragrance "A Olhar Trancoso" was launched in 2020, bringing a tropical touch to the collection, taking us on an olfactory journey to the Brazilian beaches of Trancoso.

The bottle tells the story of Comporta's association with Vista Alegre (one of the most prestigious porcelain brands in the world, combining the Portuguese heritage of glass-making), two years after the launch of COMPORTA PERFUMES.

The result is an impressive work of art, a glass bottle that embodies the wooden stakes of the stilt port of Comporta.
