Amber notes are a very important theme in the work of any perfumer. However, building a modern amber is not an easy task, you want it to be voluminous without being heavy, very warm without being too sweet and very sensual, even sexual, without being too dirty. Combine the usual suspects of vanilla, cistus, and frankincense with rich floral notes, including the 'intriguing' rose Scenttrek, an all-new tea rose hybrid. It was the easy part, I wanted this oriental amber fragrance to be acrobatic and over the top, yet refined, so I contrasted the juicy tangerine accord with crunchy cypress scent.
