THE GHOST IN THE SHELL is a perfume that speaks of the human phenomenon and its paradox: “Fusion of matter, Birth of the spirit.”

This perfume transports us back in time, to a night of pale moonlight at the end of the 20th century; a night when the old world ends and the new begins.

That night he read Hyperion, a novel by Dan Simmons. It is a masterful science fiction saga that celebrates the infinite legend of the French Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, who was a researcher, paleontologist, theologian and philosopher of the 20th century.

I read, calm, until the reflections of dawn, until the first golden rays of the East. I read the future of man, the celebration of transhumanism and the qualitative leap of humanity powered by machines. Rarely have I loved a book so much, rarely have I loved a thinker so much. I read that night what a man thought he saw in the tombs of time.

I am a lover of words at the service of materials when they come together to make poetry at the bottom of the bottles of ETAT LIBRE D'ORANGE; Thus, a few years ago, we took the work of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin to one of the last living vestiges of the triumphant 20th century. Thus “THE GHOST IN THE SHELL” was born. This is the act of birth that the perfume spirit does. The rest is poetry to live in the skin.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin died in 1955, but his spirit continues to travel through this fragrance, reaching out through an alliance with Japanese artist Shirow Masamune to transcend the spirit of the Earth.

By blending biotechnology and natural materials, THE GHOST IN THE SHELL quietly celebrates the wake of the future and whispers of a day to come, by providence or chance, when humanity gathers and organizes. A day in which all consciousness is summoned by the infosphere to become a superior being and go from the inert to the living. As molecules come together to make a living, we will make a qualitative leap that will become the starting and ending point of transhumanism.
