Umbra is more than a fragrance: it is a sensory journey through an enchanted forest. It starts with a vibrant citrus -Bergamot, grapefruit and orange, "which illuminates the road as a ray of sun opening a step between the trees. In the heart, the flowers are expressed naturally and purity: jasmine, lily of the valleys and geranium contribute a green aura, slightly powdered, like a clearing in the forest perfumed by the breeze. Finally, the base is a terrified, resinous and deeply elegant symphony: Haitian Vetiver, oak moss, balms and woods merge with the spicy exoticism of black pepper and the tonka enveloping warmth.
Behind Umbra is Ramón Monegal, Spanish perfumer of fourth generation and one of the great authors of the author's perfumery. In 2009, Monegal founded his own home with the intention of recovering creative freedom without concessions, signing each work as the only author. His approach is handmade, passionate and deeply Mediterranean. In Umbra, Monegal channels its family heritage and its love for olfactory poetry, giving life to a fragrance that is both sober and magical, natural and sophisticated, balanced between tradition and innovation.
The first contact with Umbra is a fresh and sunny burst. Bergamot, orange and grapefruit provide energy, cleaning and clarity, as the moment in which the shadow is projected for the first time on the hot floor. It is an elegant, alive opening, which brings freshness without losing its naturalness.
The floral heart combines the greenery of geranium with the delicate softness of the jasmine and the valley lily. These flowers do not scream, whisper. The Vetiver of Haiti provides a refined earthy texture; black pepper, a subtle and exotic itch; The oak moss, an elegant moisture that anchors the fragrance to the earth. To this add the Canadian fir balm, cedar and myrrh, which envelop the fragrance in a mystical and deep haze. Brazilian Tonka bean adds warmth and softness, leaving a sophisticated wake that stays hours later.
